Thing-a-Day #16
A couple of weekends ago, I upgraded to Flickr Pro..
…today, I organized my entire Flickr collection and sorted it into 2 major Collections with several Sets within them.
Finally, I feel like I can find things just a little easier!
The collections are: Domestic Vacations and Craft Projects. Then I subset them by cities and Supplies, Knitting, Crochet and Paper Craft. How do you guys organize your Flickr photos?
Thing-a-Day #14
Many, many years ago as a kid, I made a basketweave heart out of construction paper for my mom. She really loved it and has referred to it over the years.
This year, I thought I’d make her a new one.. but updated with felt, buttons and some fancy stitching. I kinda screwed up which means I should really pin down the ends the next time around.
It’s a little too late for a V-Day tutorial but I can make one if anyone’s curious.
Thing-a-Day #13
This necklace has somewhat of a story behind it. I bought it with MissU and another friend at a vintage sale. When I wore it the first day, the necklace fell apart as I was walking down the street. MissU and I spent 15 minutes playing in traffic as the beads had fallen on the crosswalk.
When I tried restringing it, it took 3 tries. 1st – it came out too short. 2nd – replaced original black seed beads with clear, larger beads but they fell off the string since I hadn’t made the end knot yet. 3rd – and final – it came out to look like this.
All pieces are from the original except the much stronger metal thread and crimp beads I bought recently.
