Many, many years ago as a kid, I made a basketweave heart out of construction paper for my mom. She really loved it and has referred to it over the years.
This year, I thought I’d make her a new one.. but updated with felt, buttons and some fancy stitching. I kinda screwed up which means I should really pin down the ends the next time around.
It’s a little too late for a V-Day tutorial but I can make one if anyone’s curious.

I recently bought something from SewnNatural. Not only did I receive this adorable felt love gnome but also a gift – a felt heart!
The workmanship is amazing and the cute gift makes this whole experience even more awesome. I’m pretty sure the Valentine’s day recipient will love this :D

I recently purchased my very own
KnitKnit “Little Leaf Necklace” and I’m so happy to have done so! It’s just the right size so it’s noticeable enough while being subtle. I really have a penchant for leafy themed items and the lime green immediately caught my eye. It’s the second time I’ve worn it this week and look forward to getting a lot of use out of it :)

A lot of classmates of mine have customized their Mac laptops to hide the Apple logo. This is primarily due to the fact that 98% of my department uses all of 2 laptop models so there needs to be a way to differentiate amongst the sea of Mac Books and Mac Book Pros.
I have an XPS laptop from Dell which is pretty rare considering the Apple fan kids surrounding me. I figured I’d give the logo hiding a try for kicks. A few pieces of felt, lots of white glue and scissors and about half an hour later:

Crafts and technology collide!
